Duties Description The Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) Unit Leader serves as the State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) Coordinator and supervisor of staff assigned to assist in implementing the responsibilities of the Unit. Key responsibilities will include engaging conservation partners, including other agencies and NGOs, in the SWAP revision process by working collaboratively to review SGCN and conservation actions necessary for inclusion in the plan. The SGCN Unit Leader will lead implementation, including reporting to the US Fish and Wildlife Service on use of State Wildlife Grants funding for deliverables and effective conservation. Coordination is also required with the Division of Marine Resources and other Divisions to develop a well-integrated, sound plan to support project development and implementation of projects to conserve SGCN.
