Duties Description The Health Program Administrator I (HPAI) will be located within the Administrative Unit within the Bureau of Immunization and will be primarily responsible for coordinating grant and fiscal requirements for CDC and New York State Department of Health to meet workplan objectives, as well as a multitude of fiscal, administrative, and operational functions. The HPAI will coordinate fiscal activities, including budgeting, monitoring cash flow and spending for various CDC funding sources, generating, and reviewing expenditure plans, reviewing and analyzing reports, and monitoring and coordinating meeting across DOH and federal stakeholders. The incumbent will also coordinate and monitor the response to assignments and requests for information related to immunization travel, office equipment, provide technical assistance and perform other appropriate related duties. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the HPA 2 in collaborating across Bureaus and Divisions within the NYSDOH on Polio Initiatives and other immunization collaboratives as needed. The incumbent will oversee achievement of compliance with immunization requirements and state and federal funding requirements. Duties include: assist with development of the fiscal and component of the program’s CDC workplans; monitoring of spending for contracts and grants; establish and maintain methods to track initiatives, initiating renewals timely, and documenting approvals; generating and reviewing reports from the Statewide Financial System (SFS); oversight of voucher traces to ensure contractor expenses are appropriately documented; planning, telecommunications, and computer access needs and other appropriate related duties as assigned.
