Minimum Qualifications Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Program Aide, Grade 13 (formerly known as Administrative Aide, Grade 13, or Agency Program Aide, Grade 13).
Transfer Opportunity: New York State employee with one or more years of permanent or contingent-permanent service in title at Grade 11 or above, and eligible for transfer to Program Aide, Grade 13, under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills and will have experience with Microsoft Office programs. They will have the ability to prepare routine correspondence, take minutes, and develop and maintain tracking systems.
Duties Description The Program Aide will prepare routine correspondence; collect and analyze data; assist in the preparation, review, and evaluation of a variety of reports and records; provide assistance to Contract Teams by conducting preliminary and follow-up work on program reviews; maintain systems to track program reviews and Corrective Action Plans; track local agency vacancy reports, budget modifications and other reports; monitor information in several databases to maintain consistency, accuracy and accessibility; and assist in site development tracking and minutes.
The incumbent will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of tracking systems to collect and analyze information to be used to develop recommendations and responses to executive level requests. They will assist with coordinating strategic planning, performance improvement, executive presentations, and other cross program cutting initiatives.
