Minimum Qualifications Education level required: BA/BS.

Relevant experience: 2+ years’ experience in commercial finance, loan administration or banking.

Knowledge required: Basic understanding of how loan agreements operate. Must have excellent written and oral communications skills. Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint and Prezi is preferred.

Duties Description BASIC FUNCTION:
Managing ESD’s portfolio of loan and grant projects throughout New York State in terms of financial and employment compliance.

WORK PERFORMED:
• Enroll new projects into ESD’s Employment database.
• Monitor and enforce employment requirements under ESD financial assistance agreements.
• Contact and visit borrowers/grantees that are in default of their agreement, review financials, obtain recommendations from regional offices, and draft recommendations to ESD’s Workout Committee.
• Work with ESD’s grantees and borrowers to structure workouts agreements.
• Prepare write-offs, accelerations and re-amortization memorandums and schedules.
• Negotiate grant repayment options with grantees and draft or modify agreements.
• Update and manage the department’s various active financial reports and various databases.
• Assume special assignments and related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
