Minimum Qualifications Thirty semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.

Duties Description This position will involve implementing an angler survey that involves direct contact interviews of anglers and recording data from fishing trips in a standard manner. Field activities will also include participation in Lake Erie fish sampling aboard RV Argo and other vessels. Other data processing and entry tasks will occur as office work. Other field and lab work will be required as needed.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain Must be able to work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must complete certification to operate motorized boats or personal watercraft within one month of appointment.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 11/30/2023. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
