status as a Medicaid Redesign Analyst 1 (G18).

(PCO) eligible list with a score of 100 OR qualified 55B/C
candidate in possession of a Bachelor's or higher degree."
Preferred Qualifications: A high proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Strong attention to detail, as well as Medicaid Data Warehouse/data analytic experience.
Duties Description "This position will conduct Medicaid Managed Care finance and rate setting activities for premium payment to Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) for the provision of health care services and benefits provided through Medicaid. Specific duties are related Managed Care rate development and analysis and include but are not limited to:
• Assist in developing Medicaid Managed Care reimbursement rates for providers/health plans.
• Describe and report on the methodology/progress of Medicaid Managed Care rate setting/premium development and analysis.
• Provide Medicaid Managed Care rate setting information to health care providers, health plans, health care associations, control agencies, health care advocates, and other Department of Health staff.
• Assist in the development and communication of responses to Medicaid Managed Care rate setting/premium related inquiries from stakeholders on fiscal issues.
• Conduct research on fiscal and rate setting strategies utilized in other states to advance New York’s programmatic goals related to Medicaid Managed Care consistent with the Federal 1115 Waiver requirements.
• Periodic communication and collaboration with other State agencies and internal/external stakeholders."
