Duties Description The incumbent will support the Waste Transport and State Assistance Section. Specific duties will include application review and contract administration for the Part 369 Municipal Waste Reduction and Recycling (MWRR) grant program, including capital projects; education, promotion; planning, and coordination projects (MWRC); municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection and disposal projects; targeting priority area projects and other grant programs as requested; operating specialized computer programs, such as the Solid Waste Information Management System (SWIMS), the NYS Grants Gateway, and DEC’s Financial Management Information System (FMIS); reviewing large documents; performing financial calculations; and tracking budgets and contract expenses. In addition, the incumbent will also, from time to time, be called upon to support the other duties of the Waste Transport and State Assistance Section, including, but not limited to freedom of information responses, internal controls, environmental monitoring program, work planning and waste transporters.
