Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1: Permanent competitive service as an Administrative Assistant 2, Accountant Aide, Program Aide, Business Document Specialist 3, Head Mail & Supply Clerk, Head Stores Clerk, Legal Assistant 1 and Trainee 2, Office Assistant 3, Office Assistant 3 (Calculations), Office Assistant 3 (Human Resources), Payroll Examiner 2, Payroll Specialist 2, Principal Data Entry Machine Operator.
Also any language parenthetic for the above titles. You will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding. Additional titles which qualify can be found on the Department of Civil Service website, search "GOT-IT."
Three years of relevant experience.*
*Substitution: Certification (such as the International Association of Administrative Professionals’ Certified Administrative Professional), diploma, or associate degree in office administration, secretarial science, administrative assistance, paralegal, business technology, or office technology may substitute for two years of experience.
Duties Description •• Provide confidential support to the Deputy Commissioner for Administration, the Deputy Commissioner for Public Protection and Emergency Management and the Deputy Commissioner for Remediation and Materials Management.
• Handle Confidential Information
• Schedule and arrange meetings, conferences and presentations
• Make travel arrangements and process expense reports on FMIS
• Transmit instructions from Deputy Commissioner’s to staff and monitor requests.
• Review incoming correspondence and determine significance. Distribute as appropriate and follow up as necessary.
• Edit and review any division correspondence received for Deputy Commissioner’s signature.
• Receive, disseminate, and track proposed regulations, through Executive, from the following Divisions:
o Division of Operations
o Division of Environmental Remediation
o Division of Mineral Resources
o Division of Materials Management
o Division of Law Enforcement
o Division of Forest Protection
