Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Reachable on the Civil Service List for Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 2 OR Permanent service as a Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 2 OR Eligible for 70.1 transfer to a Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 2 OR Eligible for provisional appointment pending examination. To be eligible for provisional appointment, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55c service as Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1 or Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1 (Spanish Language).

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The DDPS2 position is a critical item providing the leadership, supervision, and day-to-day direction to staff on the team in region 3.
This position provides leadership and programmatic supports to team members, provider agencies, Care Coordination Organizations,
families, and individuals electing to receive services in region 3.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing the successful provision of services within the 18 counties covered by the Regional Field Office (RFO).
- Coordination with local Leadership, Central Office and provider agencies to ensure provision of services for participants.
- Ensuring the coordination and delivery of trainings for new Support Brokers and existing Support Brokers, 4x per year
- Partner with the trainings for Fiscal Intermediaries.
- Ensuring timely and accurate Communication, education, problem solving and technical support to the approved providers in the RFO.
- Coordinate consistent and regular trainings for Care Managers.
- Coordinate and facilitate as necessary, the required Information Sessions, approximately 3X per month.
- Provide information and technical support as needed to individuals and families/providers.
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting for matters of health and safety related to service provision.
- Involve other disciplines (e.g., Forensic Review Team) in discussions to ensure health and safety as needed.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with Central Office.
- Create efficient workflows that maximize programmatic and fiscal compliance with applicable rules and policy.
- Ensure development plan is maintained and updated for services, as necessary.
- Partner with other units of the RFO to ensure the equitable review and timely responsiveness to all new requests for services.
- Partner with other units in the RFO to facilitate the contract process.
- Partner with other units in the RFO to equitably authorize and manage housing subsidies.
- Partner with Leadership and other RFO units to ensure operational compliance with OPWDD memorandums and administrative
guidance.
-Utilize databases, spreadsheets, and Microsoft products such as word, TEAMS, and SharePoint to enter, review, monitor and analyze
information.
-Serve as part of the RFO management team.
-Other duties as assigned.
