Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list.

OR

Candidates must have one year of permanent, competitive service in this title and be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. To qualify for a Section 70.1 transfer, candidates must be licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and have at least one year of permanent status in a title approved for transfer by Civil Service within two salary grades of Grade 20.

Duties Description The LMSW II position would encompass but not be limited to the following duties:
• Review and respond to requests from injured workers in the NYS workers’ compensation system who need social work assistance;
• Document all interactions with injured workers via the Claims Information System (CIS) and the Inquiry Tracking and Resolution System (ITRS);
• Monitor WCB Social Worker mailbox and claimant inquiries received from the Human Services Call Center (HSCC), assuring that staff response is prompt, as needed;
• Monitor CIS and email work requests sent by internal and HSCC staff;
• Adhere to professional development and continuing education licensure requirements as determined by New York State.
