Minimum Qualifications """""""Permanent: NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Program Aide, G-13 or a current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title allocated to G-11 or higher, and eligible for transfer to Program Aide under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Provisional Candidates: Current DOH employee and 1 year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a G-5 or higher clerical, secretarial, keyboarding or paraprofessional title set in an office environment. If three or fewer NYS DOH promotional candidates respond to this posting, the agency may, at its discretion, nominate a qualified employee for non-competitive promotion under the provisions of Section 52.7 of the NYS Civil Service Law. Employees must have one year or more of

certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates
must be considered first for appointment to this title. Candidates

Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), experience handling confidential information, strong attention to detail, some knowledge of public health insurance programs, federal and state regulations and a desire to contribute to a team-oriented workplace. The preferred candidate must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and have strong computer skills, including the ability to learn new computer systems and experience using Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Access, Word and Excel.
Duties Description Within the Division of Eligibility and Marketplace Integration, Bureau of Consumer Relations and Local District Support, and Upstate Eligibility Systems, the incumbent will assist New York State with timely and efficient implementation of continuous coverage unwind operations and provide ongoing support for the administration of New York’s health insurance programs.
