Duties Description The Medical Assistance Specialist 2 will serve as direct liaison to Health Homes (care management organizations) through the provision of technical assistance and support to ensure compliance with program standards. They will collaborate and build strong working relationships with the Children’s Health Home team, OMH, OASAS, OPWDD, and the AIDS Institute. ?In addition, they will support the Health Home Operations team through collaboration with the Health Home Policy and Research team, the Health Home Strategic Planning team, and others within BASP, Office of Quality & Patient Safety (OQPS)and the Division of Data Services and Analytics (DDSA) as assigned, to assist in moving large- and small-scale strategic initiatives forward. Additional responsibilities will include ?preparing project plans, meeting materials, memoranda, and other communications. ?The incumbent will need to think creatively and provide feedback on proposed budget initiatives, policies, regulatory changes, and program strategy. ? They will facilitate meetings, both internally and externally upon request of their manager and submit requests for updates to the Health Home website. ?Other assignments will involve critical thinking regarding research, data, and data analysis in support of key initiatives. This position requires the ability to ?work independently and identify the need for partnership with the team and others to elicit expertise needed to reach objective of project/assignment. The incumbent may be asked to perform other tasks in support of the Bureau’s mission and goals.

Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
