Must be permanent as an Office Assistant 3, be on the current list, or be in a permanent position eligible for transfer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in personnel/human resources. Proficient in NYSTEP, NYBEAS. Proficient in working with multiple databases. Skilled in Microsoft Suite.
Duties Description NATURE OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The OA3 position is in the Human Resources Dept. Performs a variety of personnel functions: Maintain all aspects of Workers Compensation, medical leaves & FMLA, including Employee Health Services referrals, etc. Maintain all timecards for employees on leaves (WC, FMLA, Admin, Medical, etc); Time and Attendance audits; NYSTEP activities: Include processing of Personnel Transaction Requests; status changes; probation extensions; Leave End Dates; Appointment End Dates, NYSTEP Histories; Track all staff Performance and Evaluations; Assist with Processing all new employees and ensures background checks are completed; Assist with Canvassing of prospective employees, participates in employment interviews, offers positions; Assist with all NOD's as requested; Special projects as assigned; maintains tickler file for status monitoring; prepares a variety of reports; duties as required.
Additional Comments This position qualifies for an annual down state adjustment of $3087.00 which is in addition to the base salary provided.
