Minimum Qualifications Must have at least four (4) years of full-time experience working under a journey-level Carpenter, which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program.
Apprenticeship training in the carpentry trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses at a school or institute may be submitted for the above experience on a year-for-year basis.
It is desirable that candidates have some experience in other recognized skilled trades such as electrical and plumbing.
A person appointed to this title will be required to obtain a CDL B permit within 30 days of appointment and must obtain a CDL B license as a condition of satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
Duties Description Responsible for the maintenance, operation and repair of electrical equipment. While the employee will mostly work on electrical equipment may also be required to work on mechanical, refrigeration, heating, air conditioning equipment, and general building repair.
Additional Comments As this position belongs to the Teamsters Bargaining Unit 1, salary is non-negotiable.
