Minimum Qualifications Education Level required: College degree.

Relevant experience required: 3+ years of loan administration experience working with corporate loan accounting and billing systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Knowledge required: Must have solid working knowledge of how loans operate, understanding of legal documents (Notes, Mortgages, Assignments, etc.) and ability to create and modify loan amortization schedules. A general understanding of the New Market Tax Credit and Federal loan programs. Experience with Applied Business Software Inc. & The Mortgage Office is a plus.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Monitoring and servicing ESD’s loan portfolio, which includes loans from the UDC, JDA and ESMNC programs (“ESD Loan Portfolio”) through the Applied Business Software system (“ABS”). Maintaining and updating ESD’s Employment Database. Working with ESD Treasury and Controller’s departments and providing them with daily, weekly, or monthly reports.

WORK PERFORMED:
• Monitor and maintain ESD Loan Portfolio through the ABS system;
• Generate and process billing for the ESD Loan Portfolio;
• Collaborate with ESD’s New Market Tax Credit and Small Business Division to help develop loan structures for complex state and federal lending programs to ensure effective loan servicing processes;
• Serve as the primary contact for borrower and grantee account inquires, providing high-quality account support and service;
• Process Cash Receipts (i.e., Lockbox and ACH) and apply payments to update each borrower’s account;
• Generate daily reports, apply daily payments, and reconcile account balances;
• Generate loan payoff and satisfaction letters;
• Create new project profiles in ESD’s Employment Database and monitor grant disbursements and repayments;
• Review loan closing documentation and identify key loan provisions, including, but not limited to, payment terms and repayment provisions in order to create new loan positions in ABS;
• Generate loan amortization schedules for new loans and collaborate with the Accounting department to ensure accurate repayment schedules are established at closing;
• Obtain and maintain JDA employment records;
• Maintain various reports and provide copies upon request;
• Reconcile and resolve loan balance and payment issues with Accounting and Treasury departments;
• Provide monthly cash receipt activity to the Accounting department for month-end G/L entries;
• Prepare report for the Treasury department indicating which funds are received in lockbox and to which accounts the funds should be transferred;
• Provide bi-monthly ACH reports to the Treasury department to debit ESD, JDA and ESNMC borrower’s bank account;
• Generate late payment reports and monitor borrowers to minimize delinquencies;
• Assist ESD attorneys with satisfaction and assignments of mortgages, borrower insurance policy issues, loan repayments, and file management; and
• Coordinate loan account information across four separate data systems (ABS, PeopleSoft, Access, and Dynamics) for diverse uses by multiple departments.
