Minimum Qualifications Permanent Transfer Candidates: Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as an Administrative Aide (G-13), Agency Program Aide (G-13) or Program Aide (G-13); or one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title allocated to G-11 or above eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Provisional Promotion Candidates: Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service or 55b/c service in a Grade 5 or higher clerical, secretarial, keyboarding or paraprofessional** title set in an office environment.
**Only paraprofessional titles in an office environment will be considered qualifying. Service in a direct care title is not qualifying experience. Examples of non-qualifying titles are: Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1; Direct Support Assistant; Food Service Worker 1; Licensed Practical Nurse; Mental Health Therapy Aide; and Security Services Assistant.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team, multi-task, display flexibility and complete assignments within short timeframes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Duties Description The position is located in the Policy and Standards Development unit, within the Center for Health Care Policy and Resource Development in the Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management. The candidate will provide support to the unit including: excel and database services with data input; schedule internal and external meetings and webinars; calendar management; main line phone coverage; BML monitoring; database administration; data entry; and expense report processing and tracking. Other duties will be required, as needed.
Additional Comments Permanent or Provisional Promotion. Provisional Promotion candidates will need to sit for the next holding of the Program Aide exam, pass and be immediately reachable on the resultant eligible list to maintain the position.
