Minimum Qualifications This position is to be filled by Selective Certification. The education and skill requirements are:

• Bachelor’s degree in the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, or Computer Engineering;
• At least 1 year of experience in Tomcat / Java;
• At least 1 year of experience in J2EE;
• At least 1 year of experience in GIT; and
• At least 1 year of experience in Java.

Duties Description The New York State Department of Financial Services seeks to build an equitable, transparent, and resilient financial system that benefits individuals and supports business. The Department of Financial Services is seeking candidates for the position of ITS2 (Programming) in the Technology Bureau. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Participates in site building activities within a content management system (CMS) such as creating and maintaining taxonomies, content types, image presets, page templates, views, blocks, menus, roles, workflows, and permissions;
• Assists in the administration, monitoring and maintenance of web-based platforms and systems;
• Provides support to web content creators, application owners and system end users;
• Assists content creators with page and content creations for advanced web content requests; and
• Assists in the development of custom Drupal modules or Portal Applications.
