Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Region 5 anticipates filling a Program Aide position in the Planning and Program Management office.
The candidate will work under the direction of a higher-level supervisor. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: • Utilize Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management computer system (OPPM) to produce, monitor, analyze, record and distribute documents relating to the NYSDOT Capital Program of projects. • Review, approve and process payments to / from Municipalities, railroads and other agencies utilizing the State Financial System (SFS). • Assure quality of capital program documents and process the information into OPPM. • Review billing materials and process quarterly payments to local municipalities regarding the CHIPS, PaveNY, Extreme Winter Recovery, Touring Route and NYS Pothole programs. • Attend meetings, prepare agendas and record of decisions. • Conduct the Local Highway Inventory solicitation process. Review materials. • Prepare Maps, tables, charts and reports. Analyze data. • Prepare both the annual Operational Plan and Annual Report for R5 PPMG. • Assist with database programs for the management of regional infrastructure assets. • Conduct incidental clerical duties related to the administrative responsibilities of the R5 PPMG.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the Department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
