Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list;

OR

Candidates must have permanent status as a Business Officer 4 and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer via Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Section 70.1 allows a permanent competitive class employee, who has at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title to transfer to a title where the essential duties and qualifications are similar and the transfer is within two salary grades or one M-grade.

Duties Description As a Business Officer 4, you would supervise, coordinate, and direct the activities of professional, paraprofessional, and clerical/administrative support staff engaged in business administration (e.g., contract administration, accounting, purchasing, and accounts payable/receivable), fiscal (e.g., budget preparation and development) and support service activities (e.g., housekeeping, stores, mail and supply, nutrition/food service, and/or safety and security) at facilities and programs operated by the Office of Mental Health.
