Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• One year of contingent-permanent or permanent, competitive service as an Office Assistant 2, Grade 09;

OR

• Eligible for a 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to an Office Assistant 2 by the Department of Civil Service (must also be within two salary grades of a grade 09);

OR

• Eligible for a provisional appointment as a qualified employee of New York State with one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in an office assistant, clerical, or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 5 or higher. Qualifying titles are available at:

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include, but are not limited to:
• Inventory and ordering of office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Provide support to the Plant Superintendent and other Maintenance Supervisors as needed.
• Responding to requests for information and providing support to Central Office of Property Supports and Emergency Services staff.
• Extensive use of computers primarily for presentation, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, and database application, creating forms, correspondences, and word processing applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Set up meetings and webinars using MS Teams WebEx, and Zoom platforms. This will include preparation of meeting materials, distribution of event invitations, and facilitation of webinar technologies.
• Take meeting minutes and track follow-up items when needed.
• Develop a working knowledge of the Property Supports and Emergency Services work order program so as to be able to perform requested data entry tasks and retrieve needed information.
• Pick up, stamp in, sort, and distribute mail.
• Answer telephone. Take messages and page when necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.
