Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have a minimum of six years of general work experience in customer service, training, or communications. Two years of this experience must have been conducting business analysis or experience with the New York State licensing processes and procedures. An associate degree may substitute for two years of the required experience. A bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of the required experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who have:
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Capacity to prioritize, show initiative and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Duties Description The New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) Office of the Professions (OP) is seeking candidates for a Project Assistant position in the Office of Tech Team. Under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant, SG-NS (equated to SG-23), the incumbent of this position will play an integral role implementing the initiatives and activities to create the planning documents and design models for the Office of the Professions Modernization project. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports;
• Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings;
• Perform requirements analysis;
• Document and communicate the results of the project team’s efforts;
• Perform user acceptance testing;
• Update, implement and maintain procedures;
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users;
• Coordinate stakeholder input and feedback;
• Report and monitor the resolution of any issues that stakeholders may experience during the transition; and
• Provide instructional assistance and support regarding program specific process and procedures in a "How-To" manner via phone, webinar, and in person.

Additional Comments CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This will be a temporary appointment.

This position leads to a maximum salary of $80,248 based on annual performance advances.
