Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have:
1) Permanent status as Research Scientist 2 (SG-22), and be interested in reassignment, OR
2) A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field* and three years of such experience
Substitutions to #2:
• A Master’s degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of experience
• Ph.D. in an appropriate field may substitute for an additional year of experience
*Appropriate fields include biostatistics, public policy, public administration, epidemiology, public health, sociology.

Duties Description Duties include, but will not be limited to:
• Manage the OASAS Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Strategies (EBPS) for prevention to support funded programs in meeting their OASAS and federally required EBP performance standards.
• Manage the work of the OASAS EBPS Review Panel, including preparation, planning, operations, and reporting of results; this includes operation of an online communications and document sharing information system to support the EBP Review Panel process.
• Conduct research literature reviews to keep OASAS updated on new outcome research results, communicate with researchers and program developers to promote cultural relevance and guide program adaptations.
• Conduct analyses of data and develop tabular reports and special issue reports for policy makers and other stakeholders in the prevention service system.
• Serve as the lead on working with Division of Data Management Research and Planning (DMRP) staff on complying with all provider data system request for information and ad-hoc reporting of provider data.
• Work with DMRP staff to design improvements addressing the annual planning, data collection, reporting or performance evaluation and accountability functions of the prevention reporting system.
• Manage prevention provider annual reports submission and review.
• Maintain County-level Risk and Protective Factor Profiles
• Other duties as assigned.

$77,600 - $98,252
*All new employees start at the hiring rate, unless they are transferring from another State position that would be eligible for a salary recalculation.
