Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: There are no minimum qualifications for this title.

• COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You must be reachable for appointment the current Civil Service eligible list used for filling this title.

• REASSIGNMENT QUALIFICATIONS: Current Office for People with Developmental Disabilities employees with one year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service as an Office Assistant 1. If you have less than one year, you must be currently reachable on the Beginning Office Assistant eligible list.

• TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: In title Office Assistant 1, Grade 06, or eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to an Office Assistant 1 by the Department of Civil Service.

• 55 B/C QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess the minimum qualifications for this title as established by the Department of Civil Service and listed on the most recent exam announcement.
o Meet the applicable minimal mental and/or physical requirements for the job (with a reasonable accommodation, if necessary)
o Have a current Eligibility Letter from the NYS Department of Civil Service, www.cs.ny.gov/rp55/, and be able to provide it to the Human Resources Office upon request.

Duties Description ***Shift and Telecommuting to be discussed at interview.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing entry-level clerical and office support work, including processing transactions and maintaining records, in a variety of organizational settings, to meet the requirements of agency programs. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining records.
• Retrieving and compiling information.
• Performing basic arithmetic calculations.
• Some keyboarding and other document preparation tasks.
• Answering main telephone line, monitoring shared mailbox,
• Updating document trackers utilizing SharePoint or Excel,
• Completing forms.
• Answering questions or otherwise assisting customers.
• Creating or assisting in the preparation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
• Processing financial transactions in the Statewide Financial System (SFS).
• Additional tasks as assigned.
