And/or equivalent experience required: 3+ years experience required: New York State government experience; project management, policy and/or program development; and proven ability to work well with Stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as Microsoft Office skills.

Located in Albany, the Tourism Grants Senior Program Manager will assist the Executive Director of Tourism and the Director of Tourism Grant Programs in overseeing two tourism grant programs: Market New York and Tourism Matching Funds. This position will work with the other members of the Tourism Grants team to ensure that grants are being administered and promoted consistently and effectively, program requirements and reporting are being completed in a timely manner and program grantees are receiving adequate training, support and accountability.

Core oversight of the Market New York (MNY) grant program and its over 200 active projects including but not limited to:
? Direct supervision of one MNY staff member and training of new MNY staff, ensuring compliance with program and project requirements
? Oversight of the scoring team and scoring of all Consolidated Funding Applications
? Coordination with the ESD REDC team around submission of applications, award announcements, award letter and status updates on awarded projects
? Oversight of database for MNY projects, ensuring quality, consistency and completeness of Tourism Grants Project Tracking systems including project files and records
? Support for approvals of required I LOVE NY logo usage by MNY grantees
? Oversight of reimbursement process and individual reimbursements
? Coordination with internal ESD contacts (e.g. Regional Offices, Project Managers, Finance, Design & Construction, Contractor & Supplier Diversity, Legal, Loans & Grants) to create board of directors’ approval materials, IPs, GDAs, contracts, project status reports and other required documents
? Training and guidance to tourism grant applicants and recipients
General oversight and support for the over 60 annually awarded Tourism Matching Funds (TMF) grants including but not limited to:
? Support for updating of annual TMF guidelines
? Oversight of TMF application process, program timeline and database
? Training of all new TMF Applicants/TPAs (as needed)
? Management of TMF related branding approvals and issues
Other general Tourism Grant Unit responsibilities including but not limited to:
? Branding support and reporting input for EDA Sub-Awards program
? Fulfilling general Tourism Grants information requests / reporting as needed
? Responding to tourism grant related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders such

as ESD staff, tourism businesses and regional stakeholders
? Supporting other tourism grant programs on tasks like updating program guidelines, preparing complex spreadsheets, reviewing and improving processes, ensuring compliance with requirements, and managing data and budget information
? Other projects/duties as requested by the Director of Tourism Grant Programs and/or Executive Director of Tourism
