A subsequent 55b/c appointment may be considered if you have one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a Grade 13 or higher title* determined to be similar by Civil Service and have a current Civil Service 55b/c approval letter.

52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP) Qualifications:

Announcement of proposed Non-Competitive Promotion Exam. To be eligible for NCP, candidates must be in the Department of Labor promotion field and have one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as an Administrative Assistant 1. If 3 or fewer qualified Department of Labor Administrative Assistant 1 respond to this posting, Civil Service may approve the permanent appointment of one of the qualified Administrative Assistant 1 without further examination.

Note: Non-competitive refers to not competing in an examination; the appointment will be competitive.

Provisional Qualifications:

You must be a qualified Department of Labor employee and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as an Examination Composition Assistant, Keyboard Specialist 2, Keyboard Specialist 2 (Spanish Language), Keyboard Specialist 3, Law Department Document Specialist, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding (Spanish Language), Administrative Assistant 1, Administrative Assistant 1 (Spanish Language), or Senior Data Entry Machine Operator.

Only the titles listed are qualifying. The appointed candidate would have to take, pass and be reachable on the next holding of the examination to be appointed permanently.

70.1 Transfer Qualifications:

One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 13 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.*

*Keyboarding proficiency is a minimum requirement for this position. Candidates who have not previously held a keyboarding title must pass a 5-minute typing session and must achieve a speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) with at least 96% accuracy in order to meet the Civil Service keyboarding standard.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: The incumbent of the position will serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Technology and Innovation and will provide additional administrative support to the Chief Strategic Office (CSO) as needed. The individual will perform a full range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:

•Act as Personnel liaison, to include submission of requests to fill, onboarding, and various recruitment-related activities
•Maintain calendar and meeting schedule for SIMS Leadership Team
•Review all correspondence and refer requests for information to the appropriate stakeholder within DOL and maintain follow-up systems for tracking
•Handle travel arrangements, as needed
•Manage incoming phone calls and visitors for the SIMS team
•Review all correspondence submitted for signature
•Establish and maintain SIMS electronic communication and file sharing
•Draft correspondence as requested
•Manage SIMS Statewide Financial System (SFS) requests, to include submission and status tracking
