Minimum Qualifications Seven years of experience performing business/data/system analysis oriented tasks related to NYSDOL Unemployment Insurance or equivalent NYS agency data including one year of supervisory experience. Experience directly related to data migration, agency executive and federal reporting, and defining business requirements for data warehouse queries is preferred.

The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:

- Associate’s degree and six years of experience
- Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and five years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and four years of experience
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience

Duties Description Under the direction of a Manager Information Technology Services 2, SG-29, within the Chief Technology Office, Business Application Services, Labor Workforce Education; the Project Assistant, SG-NS, will be responsible for leading ITS staff in supporting throughout the data migration, Go-live and post Go-live phases of the UISIM project. In this role, the data steward will work collaboratively with Department of Labor (DOL) program staff to create processes to ensure the data is accurate, meets quality standards and is used as intended.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for managing the completion of the ITS data migration UISIM tasks.
- Oversee processes for analyzing data migration results during UAT.
- ITS lead for data migration post go-live issue triage.
- Ensure data is deemed fit for purpose by developing data quality rules and regularly auditing data. Log data issues and work towards the resolution of data issues.
- Define and review code values / code lists and identify sources of master data.
- Define and review business terms and associated attributes including calculations and business rules of Metadata.
- Use Data Certification to review reports and visualization to ensure they are performing as expected and meeting the needs of the business ensuring the data is viewed as trusted.
- Assist in the requirements gathering and creation of new reports.
- Perform as a Subject Mater Expert and provide guidance, testing support and validation as data assets, dashboards and reports are built for their area to ensure that they conform to business processes.
- Perform full range of supervisory duties.
