Minimum Qualifications Transfer in title: Current or previous permanent service as a DA2 – Salary GR 13.
OR
At least one year of permanent service in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer pursuant to Civil Service Law
OR
Must be reachable on current Developmental Assistant 2 Civil Service list.
Management reserves the right to select either an eligible respondent to this posting or appoint from the Civil Service List.
Must be current in certification of AMAP, Promote, First Aid, CPR and all SLMS online Trainings.
Duties Description •The candidate filling the position of the Developmental Assistant 2 will work under the guidance of the Developmental Assistant 3 and the Treatment Team Leader in a community setting.
•The candidate will be expected to perform supervision of direct support staff to deliver services to individuals residing in a community setting consistent with their needs and capabilities.
•They will be responsible to schedule and assign staff to meet the needs of the individuals in regards to routine activities, integration into the community, implementation of monitor time and attendance, monitor overtime management, make assignments to maintain the personal items for individuals are secured, work with agency staff to maintain the physical plant in a clean and safe manner, work to reflect individuals choice in their personal spaces, implementing fire safety standards, making requests for personal allowance funds and keeping records for fiscal and survey reviews, track electronic data entries and usage, tracks and schedule staff for trainings, generate reports as applicable, conducts staff meetings and documents performance evaluations, keeps records for internal control systems involving use of agency vehicles, purchases, work orders for repairs, maintain system for PPE securement and internal control standards.
•Participates in team meetings and be willing to undergo job training.
