Minimum Qualifications This position is to be filled by Selective Certification. The education and skill requirements are:
• At least one year of experience with MS Active Directory;
• At least one year of experience with MS 365;
• At least one year of experience with Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair; and
• At least one year of experience with Windows Desktop.

The Department of Financial Services is seeking candidates for the position of Information Technology Specialist 4 (ITS 4) in
for the Service Desk within the Technology Bureau. The ITS 4 will function as the Service Desk manager and will be
responsible for managing daily operations of the service desk, managing the service desk team, representing the team to
other stakeholders and ensuring that the service desk is constantly developing and improving. This role will be tasked with
managing the Service Desk team to implement and follow standard ITIL process, coordinate technical resolution of incidents,
timely satisfaction of service requests and endpoint asset management. This role will also lead cross team relationships to
facilitate handoff of issues and needs across the IT department as well as manage the Service Desk relationship with DFS
customers. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversees and manages Service Desk staff;
• Coordinates tasks, escalations and communications with other departments;
• Manages the collection of customer data for calls, incidents and requests via Service Management tools;
• Monitors the Service Desk and IT process to identify areas for improvement;
• Coordinates and manages all relevant stakeholders, including the customers, vendors and other teams that are
involved in IT support;
• Conducts and shares results from service and operational performance reviews with management;
• Ensures tickets are triaged, routed, assigned and acted upon in timely fashion.
• Manages collection of known issues and documentation in knowledge base for sharing within IT and the wider
organization as appropriate; and
• Participates in major incident identification, problem correlation/management and change management to improve
delivery of service to NYS DFS stakeholders
