Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have one year of satisfactory experience in maintenance, construction, landscaping or in a business operation.* At least 6 month of such experience must be at the supervisory level. Must be at least 18 years of age and have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
*Experience in a business operation must include responsibilities dealing with the public, customer service and daily financial reporting and processing.

Duties Description Must have dependable transportation and be able to work assigned shifts. Must be punctual, reporting for work on time. Shift work may be required when assigned to booth areas or shower building cleaning. Should expect to work all weekends and holidays during period of employment. Must be able, where applicable, to do manual work in park such as picking up liter, raking, pushing lawnmowers, and cleaning rest rooms and buildings. Extra physical work may be required such as aiding in removing brush and firewood and/or moving canoes and rowboats. Must be able to communicate with others and accept direction. All tasks are to be conducted in a safe manner, with and injuries/illnesses reported immediately to supervisor. Must be well groomed, wear appropriate attire, including work shoes/closed toed shoes, issued clothing must be kept clean and work while on duty. Must be even tempered and capable of communicating with the public. Provide patrons with information regarding park facilities and use.
If assigned to booth: Must be able to handle and account for money and complete necessary Revenue Reports. Must be capable of operation a personal computer. Monitors and oversees free collection and verification activities. Handles complaints or inquiries from park patrons regarding the quality of their experience, the cleanliness of facilities, noise from other facility users and other related customer service issues. Will act as shift or area supervisor. Must live at the campground during period of employment. Must be able and willing to supervise five or more employees.

Additional Comments Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds. Must reside in State Housing.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 11/30/2024. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
