Duties Description The Associate Budgeting Analyst will be responsible for developing budget journals, tracking expenditures, assisting in the development of OTDA's State Budget Request, implementing the enacted State Budget, reviewing and analyzing Federal and State legislation, rules, regulations, and appropriation language, and preparing fiscal analyses related to assigned programs. The incumbent will also be responsible for reviewing requests for proposals and contracts, coding invoices, processing interagency payments, and processing personnel transactions. The incumbent will also act as a liaison to the New York State Division of the Budget and counterparts throughout OTDA for assigned programs.
The Associate Budgeting Analyst may supervise Senior Budgeting Analysts/Trainees who are tasked with performing budgeting analyst functions for assigned program areas. The incumbent will ensure that staff review and approve budgets accurately and timely, make certain that expenditures are monitored and that fiscal analyses are done properly. The incumbent will delegate and review assignments, prepare probationary reports/performance evaluations and perform other administrative tasks.
The incumbent will perform other appropriate tasks, as required.
