Duties Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform routine activities such as building and grounds maintenance, including operation and maintenance of basic equipment such as string trimmers and lawn mowers.
•Perform repetitive trash collection and removal daily.
•Assist in the upkeep and repair of park furnishings (bench repair and graffiti removal) and road/path repair.
•May interact with park patrons to resolve concerns, answer questions, and provide general directions.
•May assist with housekeeping as needed during busy weekends.
Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Applicant must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
• Applicant must be able to operate and perform routine maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment. This includes trucks, lawn mowers, and string trimmers.
• Applicant must be able to work both independently and with others.
• Applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff and park patrons.
• Applicant must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
