Minimum Qualifications The selected candidate must be eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law or reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title and location in accordance with the provisions of Civil Service Law, Rules and Regulations.

This position may be filled as a two-year traineeship:
• Trainee 1 is equated to SG-11, starting salary $44,169
• Trainee 2 is equated to SG-13, starting salary $49,363

• After successful completion of the traineeship starting salary for SG-14 is $52,198

Duties Description Assist in the development and writing of business rules, requirements, and execution of test conditions by participating in a range of test activities from preparing test documents and conditions, reporting test results to analyzing defects and recommending solutions.

Work with employees at all levels and perform analysis of taxpayer reported issues, system issues or limitations and recommend solutions to resolve the issue.

Create and analyze various reports, using information retrieved from various departmental systems and software to enter data, gather information, produce reports, access files and databases.

Communicate verbally and in writing; in a clear, concise and professional manner.

Collaborate with counterparts or organizations both inside and outside of the Department.

Demonstrates acceptable knowledge and skill in the use of prescribed software, department systems, defect tracking, and other tools to effectively complete assignments.

Perform with the highest level of integrity, acting within the department’s code of conduct; state ethics laws; and department policies.

Adhere to the Department’s time and attendance rules and regulations.
