Duties Description Working in the Division of Residential Support, Bureau of Administration, the incumbent will perform various administrative tasks to support the Center's infrastructure including, but not limited to, managing the Center's recruitment activities, developing streamlined onboarding and offboarding processes, coordinating space needs, and facilitating means to ensure recruits are able to contribute to the maximum extent possible as soon as is reasonable; developing streamlined, technology-based reporting methods, coordinating response to information requests received via the Freedom of Information Law, for audit and legal purposes, and/or at stakeholder request; coordinating educational opportunities for Center staff; assisting with development of electronic forms, surveys; supporting and/or participating on various stakeholder workgroups; supporting and/or facilitating contract and/or grant development, tracking, application, payment, and processing; supervision of Center support staff; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator 1, Grade 23.
OR: New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer to Health Program Administrator 1, Grade 23, under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with managing the Civil Service recruitment process and use of the Statewide Financial System; proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and SharePoint; experience with workflow development and management; and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Additional Comments Standard operating hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, hours for this position to be determined upon confirmation for employment.
This position may require travel throughout New York State including overnights to areas not served by public transportation.
For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
