Duties Description Mental Hygiene Therapy Assistant 2 supervises a number of Therapy Aides in caring for a group of residents assigned to a ward, or two wards in facilities of the Office of Mental Health. They are responsible for the custody and physical care of these residents along with putting into effect major portions of each client's treatment plan.
Has a greater degree of expertise for carrying out treatment plans which better enables incumbents to participate in the development of such plans.
Minimum Qualifications Transfer Opportunity:
Permanent New York State employee eligible for lateral transfer; or in a comparable title and eligible for Section 70.1 transfer.
OR
Two (2) years of permanent competitive service as a Mental Hygiene Therapy Assistant 1, Grade 12.

Additional Comments:
This position is eligible for a Downstate Adjustment of $3,400.
This position is for the Critical Response Team.
