The Department of Financial Services is seeking candidates for the position of Manager Information Technology Services 2 in the Technology Bureau. This position will function as the Manager of the Development Team and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects and the continuous improvement of processes. This individual will lead a team of developers, coordinate with other departments, and manage the development lifecycle from planning to deployment. The Manager of Development Team will work closely with stakeholders to align development efforts with business goals and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Leads and mentors a team of developers;
• Plans, manages, and executes development projects working with Project Management Office (PMO) and Chief Technology Office leadership;
• Ensures adherence to best practices and coding standards as well as continuous integration and continuous delivery;
• Collaborates with PMO team, designers, and other stakeholders;
• Conducts code reviews and provide constructive feedback including change approval;
• Identifies and implements process improvements; and
• Stays up-to-date with the latest development tools and technologies.

Transfer: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a title eligible for transfer via Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Please Note that under Civil Service Law, an employee cannot have two consecutive upward 70.1 or 52.6 transfers without an intervening eligible list appointment if such transfers would exceed two salary grades.

Salary: $111,925 - $141,439

Positions located within the New York City metropolitan area, as well as Suffolk, Nassau, Rockland, and Westchester Counties, are also eligible to receive an additional $3,400 annual downstate adjustment.
