Duties Description Under higher-level supervision, the incumbent will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks and responsibilities in the operation and maintenance at Ganondagan State Historic Site such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting. This position involves medium to heavy manual labor and operating a variety of pieces of equipment and power tools including chainsaws, mowers, and various ground maintenance equipment.
Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must be able to perform physical labor in an outdoor setting in harsh terrain/weather.
• Must obtain chain saw certification.
• Must be qualified to wear a respirator and follow good safety practices.
• Must possess and maintain and a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
