Duties Description General fish care; feeding fish, cleaning rearing units, moving fish, sampling fish and assisting in loading trucks. Some stocking of fish to local waters may be included in job.
Assist in annual brown trout egg take occurring in late summer early fall.

Maintain grounds; string trimming, lawn mowing and other ground
maintenance.

General maintenance around facility; assist in dam board construction, concrete pond repair, painting or power wash to optimize facility appearance and operation.

Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this class.
Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.

Preferred-Experience with automotive and construction equipment

Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2025, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.

Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.

Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
