Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

As an Auditor 3 (UI), you would be responsible for the field audit and collection activities of one or more district offices. You would supervise, plan, direct and review district office operations. You would review and approve staff recommendations for seizure of assets and employer's requests for payment plans. You would plan, implement and manage enforcement activities resulting from initiatives such as a multi-agency task force on the misclassification of employees. You would conduct office interviews, conferences and informal hearings with employers and assist in preparing disputed cases for hearings. Computer technology will be used in various duties for this position.

Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Reassignment Qualifications:
Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in an Auditor 3 (Unemployment Insurance), if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Auditor 3 (Unemployment Insurance) eligible list for this location, if one exists.

52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP) Qualifications:
To be eligible for NCP, candidates must be in the Department of Labor promotion field and have one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as an Auditor 2 Unemployment Insurance. If 3 or fewer qualified Department of Labor Auditor 2 Unemployment Insurance respond to this posting, Civil Service may approve the permanent appointment of one of the qualified Auditor 2 Unemployment Insurance without further examination.

Note: Non-competitive refers to not competing in an examination; the appointment will be competitive.

Provisional Qualifications:
Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in an Auditor 2 (Unemployment Insurance). The appointed candidate would have to take, pass and be reachable on the next holding of the examination to be appointed permanently.

52.6 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 25 or higher determined to be administrative by Civil Service.

Note: Eligible 52.6 candidates must have a bachelor's or higher degree in accounting, auditing, or taxation; OR a bachelor's or higher degree with 24 semester credit hours in accounting, auditing, or taxation courses.

70.1 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55b/c service as an:
• Auditor 3 Employment and Training, Grade 27
• Financial Services Examiner 3, Grade 25
• Financial Services Examiner 4, Grade 27

Fingerprinting/Background Check: This position requires a fingerprint/background check. There is no cost to candidates, fingerprinting fees are paid for by the Department of Labor. Candidates being considered for appointment will be provided a pre-paid code and instructions after the interview. Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
