Salary RangeFrom $66951 to $85138 Annually
Duties Description Under the supervision of a Data Analyst 2, the Data Analyst 1 will be assigned to the Data Analytics Unit within the Division of Human Rights (DHR) performing tasks related to data analysis, data interpretation, and data management in support of agency operations. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Draft technical requirements and data definitions for agency support operations across the agency;
• Review current procedures and recommend improvements to achieve agency goals;
• Perform data extraction and aggregation to ensure data quality;
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and build models in support of analytic use cases;
• Assist in performing root cause analysis and trend identification of agency support operations;
• Evaluate data sources to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability;
• Summarize results of analysis in written reports to supervisors and leadership; and,
• Support the development and creation of business intelligence solutions to support analysis of agency operations.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and either: satisfactory completion of a two-year traineeship or two years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
*Substitution: A master’s degree in the above fields may substitute for one year of the specialized experience. A Ph.D. in the above fields may substitute for two years of the specialized experience.
