Duties Description Reporting directly to the Manager of the Match-Based Reviews Unit, the individual appointed to this position will supervise a team of staff members and manage audits related to match-based reviews. These reviews will focus on identifying overpayments associated with deceased enrollees, incarcerated enrollees, and enrollees for whom enhanced nursing home capitated payments have been made without supporting eligibility information or encounter records. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that audits are conducted on a consistent schedule, providing oversight and training to staff members, and handling administrative tasks, including time-off requests and timecard approvals.
Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2 OR be a current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent services in a title deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience auditing Medicaid Managed Plans, particularly match-based reviews. Familiarity with Managed Care Model Contracts and Medicaid eligibility systems.
