Duties Description As an Administrative Assistant 2 within the Division of Labor Standards duties include but are not limited to:
• Compile data from databases, internet, research, stakeholders, to maintain statewide lists of industries, locations and organizations who will be involved in strategic enforcement activities.
• Track Strikeforce activities and outcomes of activities on a sitewide level.
• Coordinate with Buffalo, White Plains, Long Island, Syracuse Strike Force units and their clerical support to ensure smooth operation, coordination and logistics of Strikeforce activities.
• Provide clerical support and assistance in developing educational outreach materials, mailings (e-mail), presentations, videos, etc.
• Utilize various software, formats, and technologies to accomplish tasks.
• Handle special projects that involve unit functions including with stakeholders, other agencies, or program areas within the Department.

Subsequent 55 B/C Qualifications:
A subsequent 55b/c appointment may be considered if you have one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a Grade 13 or higher title* determined to be similar by Civil Service and have a current Civil Service 55b/c approval letter.

Reassignment Qualifications:
Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in an Administrative Assistant 2; if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Administrative Assistant 2
eligible list for this location, if one exists.

Provisional Qualifications:
You must be a qualified Department of Labor employee and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as an Examination Composition Assistant, Keyboard Specialist 2, Keyboard Specialist 2 (Spanish Language), Keyboard Specialist 3, Law Department Document Specialist, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding (Spanish Language), Administrative Assistant 1, Administrative Assistant 1 (Spanish Language), or Senior Data Entry Machine Operator.

Only the titles listed are qualifying.
