Duties Description Central New York Psychiatric has a vacancy for a Grounds Construction Supervisor in the Work Control Center.

Duties:
• Supervise day-to-day operation of the Grounds Department.
• Schedule all work activities of staff.
• Provide instructions and oversight to job activities.
• Schedule time and attendance of staff.
• Establish performance plans and evaluations of staff.
• Assist Plant Superintendent in hiring and terminating of staff.
• Discipline staff.
• Maintain all grounds equipment.
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment are in operating condition.
• Ensure all preventative maintenance and repairs are performed on all vehicles/equipment.
• Ensure supply of materials/equipment are available to perform repairs, etc.
• Assist Plant Superintendent with budget.
• Responsible for efficient and effective use of all supplies and materials assigned to department.
• Responsible for maintenance of all roadways, parking lots, and adjoining building areas in an acceptable manner.
Includes snow removal, road repairs, gardening, and lawn maintenance on campus.
• Operate daily transport system for Storehouse.
• Operate movement of all equipment/furniture items on campus.
• Operate vehicle preventative maintenance system for facility fleet.

Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: Six years of satisfactory experience in park, road, or general grounds construction work, preferably on large scale projects, at least two years of which shall have involved the supervision of subordinate employees engaged in the operation of construction equipment such as bulldozers, graders, and power shovels.
