Duties Description Specific duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Oversight and supervision of a team of Training Specialist 1s within the Staff Development and Outreach Unit (SDOU)
• Monitor the Staff Development shared mailbox to ensure requests and issues are correctly addressed
• Creation and distribution of training announcements & opportunities
• Communicate regularly with supervisors, program managers and employees regarding training needs and opportunities
• Coordination of agency-wide training and professional development
• Analyze agency training resources and curriculum in conjunction with workforce development needs
• Serves as Primary Administrator in the Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS)
• Certification in Office of Employee Relations (OER) courses and facilitate as needed for agency employees
• Assist with New Employee Orientation Programs
• Coordination of and support for the DMV Mentoring Program
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for the Training Specialist 2, G-23 position you must meet one of the following conditions as detailed below:
1. Eligible for appointment from the Training Specialist 2, G-23 eligible list
2. In a G-21 or higher title that meets criteria for 70.1 or 52.6 transfer
Additional Comments Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed work week and Telecommuting.
