Duties Description This position will report to the Grade 18 Senior Budget Analyst in the Travel/P Card/ROW Unit and be responsible for:
• Understanding and sharing DOT and NYS travel rules and regulations and SFS trainings in the Travel-Expense Module.
• Monitoring the DOT Travel mailbox, which includes answering employees Travel or Procurement Card related questions and assisting with SFS reconciliations.
• Reviewing and processing of credit card applications (primarily Travel Card) in the JPMC Credit Card Application Card Management System and the SFS User Access application process.
• Working with the Budget Bureau to ensure Chatfield’s are being properly used on Travel Card transactions and the Business Services Center to ensure requirements are being met.
• Assisting with Aging Reports bi-monthly and notifying employees of overdue Travel Reports.
• Reviewing and addressing issues and audits related to Travel Expense reports in SFS, including budget Chatfield’s and the budget check process on employee reports.
Assisting with DOT Emergency and Storm Deployment’s related to Travel.
• Completing Finance Office Approval letters.
• Acting as EDA in SFS related to Travel Card Program administration, including assigning budget Chatfield’s to user profiles.
• Other miscellaneous duties needed for the team.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
