Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill a Program Aide, Grade 13, position in the Office of Financial Management, Consolidated Business Office. The Program Aide will support the Accounting Revenue Unit which process deposits and journal vouchers for OMH Central Office and it’s 24 facilities. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Process Deposits and Journal vouchers for OMH Facilities/Central Office
- Review/approve Client Worker Payrolls, and advise/monitor facility cash accounts.
- Review, Deposit and account for misc. checks submitted by vendors and OMH facilities
- Serve as a liaison between control agencies and Program areas.
- Collect, monitor, analyze/evaluate statistics and data for deficiencies/improvement opportunities and provide assistance/direction to correct problems/improve processes.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with administrative and programmatic requirements for OMH Facilities/Central Office.
- Supervise/lead a team responsible for reviewing vouchering transactions for OMH Program areas and Facilities and monitor staff performance to ensure assignments are completed to the best of their abilities.
- Miscellaneous assignments/duties as required and/or as they occur.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be employed by New York State to be eligible to apply for this position.
Candidates must have permanent status as a Program Aide (formerly Agency Program Aide/Administrative Aide), Grade 13, and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Additional Comments The Consolidated Business Office is conveniently located in independent offices on the grounds of the Capital District PC at 75 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, New York. Free parking is available across the street.
