Duties Description The incumbent of this position will serve as assistant to the Director of Fiscal Management and will provide guidance on NYS Procurement Law and other regulations to facilitate the contract and procurement process. Incumbent will provide oversight for negotiation of lease agreements, as well as for the purchase of a wide variety of supplies, materials, equipment and services required by DMV and it’s facilities. Procurement activities are governed by New York State’s laws, rules, regulations and policies administered by the Office of General Services, and Office of the State Comptroller. Incumbent will ensure financial resources are managed in accordance with all laws and guidelines established by OSC, The Attorney General, OGS, State Finance Law, Vehicle and Traffic Law, and all other laws and regulations.
Specific areas of oversite include, but are not limited to, Contracts and Procurement.
Minimum Qualifications Current NYS employees with one year of permanent service in a G-27/M-2 title or higher and, depending on the appointment method to your current position, eligible for transfer to the M-3 level under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
