Duties Description Supervision of food preparation and cooking in a large institution kitchen; determine the amount of food to be prepared according to the planned menu; requisition food supplies; inspect kitchen areas to ensure preparation, utilization, cooking and sanitary procedures are observed; kitchen staff training as necessary and perform food preparation and cooking activities.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail at the interview.

Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in large scale cooking, two years of which must have included regular supervision of subordinate employees. An associate degree or higher in culinary arts or food service may substitute for two years of general cooking experience.
Large scale is defined as 300 meals daily.
