Duties Description The State University of New York System Administration, located in Albany, New York, seeks a Business Analyst for the System-wide Supplier Diversity Program.
The System-wide Supplier Diversity Program is responsible for ensuring SUNY's compliance with Executive Law Article 15-A for New York State certified Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and Veterans Service Law Article 3 for New York State certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs).
Under direction of the System-wide Supplier Diversity Program Director, the selected incumbent will monitor and evaluate System-wide usage of the New York State Contract System (NYSCS); prepare and submit System-wide reports for internal analysis and oversight agencies; and assist the System-wide Supplier Diversity Program Director in further growth and development of the program.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Monitor and evaluate System-wide utilization numbers in accordance with SUNY procedures 7557 and 7564, NYS Executive Law 15A, and Veterans Service Law Article 3
- Provide individualized and System-wide training, and respond to campus inquiries, regarding NYSCS functions and SUNY Supplier Diversity procedures
- Evaluate campuses' exemption and exclusion requests
- Perform data and business analysis as required
- Coordinate and assist campuses with quarterly data reconciliation; prepare System-wide quarterly data reconciliation report to submit to B2Gnow/NYSCS
- Prepare System-wide quarterly and year-end utilization reports, and data reports for annual goal plans
- Ensure adherence to diversity and best practices and provide the highest standard of customer service to all stakeholders
- Participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly office, interdepartmental and system-wide meetings, and/or webinars, as required
- Attend outreach events, conferences, and training as required
- Complete projects, tasks, and other duties as assigned by the Director
Minimum Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including ability to write queries, scripts and macros
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence
- Working knowledge of NYS Procurement requirements
- Experience in state government, in combination of MWBE and/or SDVOB, contract administration, regulatory compliance, public administration, business analysis and/or construction
Additional Comments Additional Information:
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. VISA sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
- Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications. The range for this position is $65,000-$74,000 annually.
- State Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3) and is part of the United University Professions Union.
