Duties Description This position is located within the Managed Care and Data Platform group in the Bureau of Business Intelligence. The Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2 will supervise and provide support to the Managed Care and Data Platform manager by assisting with the process of obtaining and maintaining Data Use Agreements for the OMIG and its contracted entities; allowing for access to NYS Medicaid data and other secure data sets and perform tasks necessary to maintain these agreements.

This supervisor will be responsible for managing the OMIG Vetting mailbox to include: assigning incoming requests for verification against OMIG claim recoupment repositories and requests to maintain those repositories to ensure there is not duplication of effort within the agency,

This position will be responsible for acting as the lead on OMIG's Change Request projects, which allows OMIG to propose changes to NYS's Medicaid Management Information System (eMedNY), as well as the Medicaid Data Warehouse, or the NYS Health Benefit Exchanges (NYSOH). These changes are implements through an SDLC process to plan, create, test, and deploy system updates.

This position will also be responsible for creating excluded provider reports for OMIG's Division of Medicaid Investigations, as well as the Department of Health, the Office of Mental Health, and the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities using data provided by the CMS excluded provider information portal website.

Additionally, this position requires maintaining and updating OMIG staff user roles and access to the CMS portal.

Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2, OR be a current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational and personal skills; knowledge and experience with Oracle, excel and access; strong attention to detail.
