Duties Description Under the direction of the Plant Superintendent C, the Trades Generalist will perform the following, but not limited to, duties: 1) Carpentry: Patch, paint, repair all surfaces including doors, cabinets, walls, and façade. Conduct landscaping repair, removal, and maintenance duties. 2) Electrical: Replace/Repair electrical equipment such as outlets, switches, lighting, circuit protection and drive motors. Safely operate lift equipment to reach elevated areas requiring repair. Conduct periodic generator tests and inspections. 3) Plumbing: Perform repairs to drain and vent systems. Conduct routine cleaning and clog removal service. Perform snaking services as needed. Contact and communicate with contractors with areas needing assistance. Monitor and maintain water treatment equipment. Read blueprints to acknowledge hardware locations. 4) HVAC: Perform HVAC equipment routine maintenance. Replace filters accordingly. Repair HVAC control systems and associated parts. Routinely monitor, record, and address any issues with the BMS system. 5) Miscellaneous: Perform and schedule inspections according to industry standards. Maintain and file records accordingly. Schedule fleet and equipment inspections. Report in supervisors' absence. Procure items to satisfy inventory and complete requested tasks. Operate fleet equipment. Monitor work order systems, address requests. Provide guidance to subordinate staff. Perform resident room moves as requested.

Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.

When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
